A wearable robot has been developed and perfected for paralyzed individuals, making walking a real possibility.
The robot can even walk autonomously like a humanoid and approach the user. It uses frontal-docking instead of rear-sitting, allowing people to wear the robot immediately without getting out of the wheelchair.

Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) has integrated a suite of technologies into a robot, which is helping paralyzed people walk again at a speed that matches that of able individuals.
Though the person needs assistance the first time they put on the WalkON Suit F1, after that, it can walk to the user and fit itself. It can navigate obstacles such as narrow passages, doors, and stairs. It can also control its center of weight, even if the user pushes the robot.
āThe numerous components, control, and module technologies derived from WalkON Suit are setting the standard for the entire wearable robot industry,ā Developer Professor Kong says.
A team of astronomers led by MIT researchers has penetrated an interstellar cloud known as TMC-1 because it might explain how our solar system began.
They used a Green Bank Telescope to penetrate the mysterious cosmic cloud of gas and dust. They found pyrene, a complex hydrocarbon, which might have played a large role in bringing our solar system into existence.
This discovery offers a glimpse into the chemical processes that shaped our solar system and may even hold clues about the origins of life itself.
Niron, a Minnesota company, claims to have produced the first and only powerful permanent magnet out of iron and nitrogen that doesnāt require rare earth elements.
As magnets play an increasingly important role in modern technologies, and 90% of magnet production happens in China, the new plant that Niron just opened stands to innovate the industry in more ways than one.
The company claims that its manufacturing process combines breakthroughs in nanomaterial engineering with well-understood, mature metallurgical methods to deliver high-performance magnets at a more stable cost than alternatives.
