The internet has exploded with a new trendā€”AI-generated art in the distinct style of Studio Ghibli.

OpenAIā€™s latest image-generation tool, powered by the advanced GPT-4o model, has captivated users with its ability to create stunningly detailed, hand-painted visuals reminiscent of Hayao Miyazakiā€™s masterpieces.

However, this viral phenomenon has come with an unexpected consequence: OpenAIā€™s GPUs struggle to keep up, leading to temporary rate limits and longer processing times.

CEO Sam Altman has jokingly remarked that the companyā€™s GPUs are ā€œmeltingā€ under the intense demand. Dive deeper into this Must-Read.

The AIā€™s ability to replicate this aesthetic with impressive accuracy has fueled an overwhelming surge in demand. However, this surge has also put OpenAIā€™s infrastructure under immense pressure.

Despite OpenAI CEO Sam Altmanā€™s plea for users to slow down image generation, ChatGPTā€™s growth has hit an all-time high. The introduction of Ghibli-style AI art has sparked an internet frenzy, pushing the platform to gain one million new users every hour.

Altman acknowledged the explosive growth in a post on X, saying, ā€œThe ChatGPT launch 26 months ago was one of the craziest viral moments Iā€™d ever seen, and we added one million users in five days. We added one million users in the last hour.ā€

A team at UC Berkeley has developed the worldā€™s smallest wireless flying robot, inspired by bumblebees.

Weighing just 21 milligrams and measuring under a centimeter in diameter, the miniature drone can hover, change directions, and accurately hit small targets.

Applying an external magnetic field causes the robot to spin, generating enough lift to help the robot fly. The system can be used for surveillance, environmental monitoring, and search-and-rescue operations.

A groundbreaking male birth control pill is advancing through clinical trials, marking a major step toward expanding contraceptive options.

Researchers from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with Columbia University and YourChoice Therapeutics, have developed YCT-529ā€”a hormone-free oral contraceptive designed for men.

Unlike traditional contraceptives that rely on hormonal changes, YCT-529 works by inhibiting sperm production.
