Three litters of dire wolves have been created so far, including two adolescent malesā€”Romulus and Remusā€”and a female pup named Khaleesi.

ā€œI could not be more proud of the team. This massive milestone is the first of many coming examples demonstrating that our end-to-end de-extinction technology stack works,ā€ Colossal CEO Ben Lamm said.

Colossal previously created a ā€œwoolly mouse,ā€ with the ultimate aim of bringing the woolly mammoth back to life.

Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) Line, a Tokyo-headquartered shipping company, has concluded the contract to build its first very large crude oil carrier (VLCC).

This 310,000-ton capacity vessel can be powered with methanol, aiming to reduce greenhouse emissions from fuel transport.

The energy sector is the largest contributor to global emissions, accounting for over 75 percent of all emissions. Burning fuel for electricity or heat takes up the lionā€™s share of these emissions, but even transporting the fuel from the production site to usage is responsible for significant emissions.

California-based Westwood Robotics has unveiled its latest humanoid robot, THEMIS V2, a life-sized machine that it claims to be one of the most agile robots of its kind.

Designed to mimic human movement, the upgraded model features major enhancements to its arms and hands. The robot offers 40 degrees of freedom (DoF) and has upgraded 6-DoF arms and advanced 7-DoF end-effectors.

ā€œThese upgrades deliver exceptional capabilities in manipulation, perception, and navigation, pushing humanoid robotics to new heights.ā€ says the firm in a YouTube post.
