China just launched the first successful quantum attack with a D-Wave quantum computer.

This breach concerns Substitution-Permutation-Network structured (SPN), military-grade encryption algorithms and RSAs. These algorithms are the basis for cryptosystems that secure data via authentication and encryption.

Though it poses a threat to the US, luckily, they published their results in a new study. Dive deeper into this Must-Read.

In a new study, Chinese hackers outline that developments in D-Wave special computers enabled them to crack an uncrackable system.

D-wave computing has a unique quantum tunneling effect that researchers could tap into by introducing new technical approaches grounded in the quantum annealing algorithm.

It works like a guiding ball to find the lowest point in a terrain with hills and valleys and may hold the solution to hack into the most secure networks on Earth.

A new China-US study explores the link between expectations and our subjective experiences using hot sauce.

Researchers assessed their neurological and behavioral reactions as participants tasted spicy hot sauce and then completed tasks.

The experiment showed that regions in the brain associated with pleasure were activated in participants who expected to like hot sauce. However, regions linked to pain started firing in those who went into the experience with negative expectations.

The results suggest that our expectations shape our experiences.

Quaise Energy finds “geothermal’s holy grail” in Earth’s crust.

In pursuing a transition to a clean energy future, the US company just published a study that suggests rocks in the Earth’s crust fracture in a special way, making them ideal candidates for harnessing energy. Other research shows that the cracks in these super hot rocks would allow for better fluid flow and heat extraction.

Quaise Energy is now inventing innovative drilling techniques to reach Earth's deepest and hottest rocks.
